Berardi showed printed silk charmeuse frocks, glittery cocktail dresses, and swingy black jackets. A standout look was a dress of clustered rosettes layered over a shimmery fabric. Hair was crimped, frizzed, and wild, and the models walked gracefully true to form down the runway.
There were a few simple pieces, but there were some heavily detailed items that used pleating techniques that a novice industry designer doesn’t always acknowledge. It’s refreshing to see a schooled, disciplined designer on the forefront.
