RACHEL ROY F/W 2010

This season, Roy was clearly inspired by Morocco, which came through loudly in her prints, knotted draping, and her repeated use of a metallic gold. Sheer touches made re-occurring appearances as well, adding an element of sexiness to otherwise demure looks.

As a working mother with an active social life and a demanding career, it was fitting that the best looks were Roy’s skirt and pant suits, which she had in both bold and neutral colors. Sharply tailored, they looked particularly eye-catching with oversized pockets.
