Nasty Gal Just Launched Its First Size-Inclusive Collection

For the first time ever, fashion retailer Nasty Gal has expanded its line to include plus sizes with a new capsule collection. The items in the collection, modeled by Alessandra Garcia Lorido, range from size 0 to size 18.

“[C]onfidence, fearlessness, and individuality make up the core of who we are, but size inclusivity was not always part of the conversation,” Nasty Gal said in a statement. “Safe to say, we were overdue for a change. Which is why we’re excited to finally introduce our new fall capsule–a super rad lineup of transitional pieces, available in sizes 0-18.”

Unfortunately, not everyone is happy about the line. People reports that some of the feedback on Twitter is negative, owing to the fact that the size range is limited only to a size 18. “[F]atness is above 18 and bad fatties deserve clothing, too,” LA-based model Megan Kimberling tweeted.

In response, Nasty Gal told People, “Nasty Gal is excited to offer customers a new capsule collection with extended sizes up to 18 as its first step toward creating more inclusive sizing options. Please stay with us as we hope to introduce an even greater range of sizes in the near future, allowing everyone to enjoy our brand.”

The pieces are priced starting at $6. Check out the brand’s new collection on their official website.
