DASHING DIVA NAIL TRENDS F/W 2010

Dashing Diva is responsible for the nails at countless shows during Fashion Week, and we were able to get our hands on some of the colors chosen by Dashing Diva head nail tech Pattie Yankee.  A number of this season’s shows including Elie Tahari, Halston, and Tory Burch.

 

Magalis Garcia – February 12th  
 

Up-and-coming designer Magalis Garcia chose the light grey polish Astor Place for manicures to accent the bright pinks and purples in the collection.

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief – February 12th

Dashing Diva’s team was backstage at Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief show to benefit Haiti.  Styled by Rachel Zoe, the nails were painted a crisp bright white shimmer shade which really popped on the runway.

Georges Chakra – February 13th

Designer Georges Chakra, wanted to create a “dried blood” look for the nails, so he went with Dashing Diva’s Central Park After Dark polish, a deep plum burgundy that matched the lipstick perfectly.

Andy & Debb – February 13th 


The designer team went with a clean, natural buffed nail to match the subtle tones and textures in the collection.

LORICK – February 14th 
 

Designer Abigail Lorick chose a bright neon orange polish to accent the blues, greens, and browns in the collection.  The nails popped off the stage!

Caroline Seikaly – February 14th

Designer Caroline Seikaly wanted to create a vampy, twilight-esqe nail look for both feet and hands to compliment the deep burgundies and reds in her collections.  Pattie Yankee used two coats of polish to create the look, the first being Limo Service (dark black) and also Jet Set, a shiny burgundy.

Barbara Tfank – February 15th  

Midnight Rendezvous 
designer Barbara Tfank chose a deep burgundy polish to compliment the rich purples, greens, maroons, and navy’s in her Fall collection.

Halston – February 15th


 
The design team wanted a soft, subtle look to complement the collection, so they went with West Village, a creamy nude with a hint of light mocha.

Elie Tahari went with a soft nude shade with a hint of pink to compliment various skin tones and her Fall collection.
