MULBERRY LONDON F/W 2010

With a space in the ultra-girly market since Luella’s unfortunate closing, Mulberry’s Emma Hill seems to be picking up the torch, and she’s doing it well. The Orangery at Kensington Palace played host to a fanciful presentation of Mulberry’s Valley of the Dolls meets English royalty with big animal prints collection, complete with sweater adorned puppies, and giant sparkly animal sculptures.

Showing separates, dresses, and outerwear ready for the it-girls of Hollywood and London, Hill is quickly solidifying her place as the queen of the girly-girls. The easy denim pieces and signature Mulberry jackets the label has become known for were updated and enhanced for Fall.  This season’s accessories did not disappoint, either.

The show should have had a ‘Count the Alexas’ bingo board, because editors and It-girls alike have been seen carrying the statement bag since it burst onto the scene last season. This season’s buzz-worthy bags include the Greta, Edna, the newly updated Daria, and the re-vamped Bayswater footwear collection is sure to solidify this heritage brand’s international status.
