Pringle of Scotland Fall 2011 Runway Review

Pringle of Scotland is known for creating gorgeous knits in all types of designs and this year they did not fail to deliver. Using a variation of tweeds and furs in knit sweaters, skirts and dresses, it looks like next fall is going to be a cozy one. The colors were mostly soft in shades of grey, brown, and black with a few pops of red and blue thrown in. Pants were straight leg and tailored and created a nice balance with the oversize sweaters, blouses, and jackets.

Fur and leather were used as trim and in combination with wool for a severe contrast to the conservative knit. A horizontal, striped overcoat with beige fur was an untraditional look for Pringle. The silhouettes were sexy, form fitting and flattering. A gorgeous grey, knit dress with matching tights and fur boots was sophisticated and playful.

The overall look of the collection was reminiscent of the 1970s with relaxed, long hair and an unfussy sex appeal. The collection was chic and fun and should appeal to all ages for Fall 2011.
