    October 1 and October 2:

More Castings and fittings, like all the other days. Except that Sunday was a special day — it was my 1 year model birthday! One year ago on this day I won the Colonnades International Model Search in Adelaide. This past year has been full of so many experiences and adventures I never dreamed of getting the opportunity to do. I have met so many wonderful people who have enriched my life and taught me so much. I am really enjoying my life as an international traveling model and hope I can enjoy many more years to come. This season has been a wonderful one for me, having done 28 shows thus far, which is more than i ever expected. I love that I can count Brig, Emma and Claudia from Finesse Models in Adelaide, Viviens in Sydney, and all my lovely international agencies as a part of my life as I feel so supported and sincerely appreciate all that they have done for me.

    Xx MJ ;)

2 shows today - Maison Martin Margiela and Amaya Arzuaga. Both these shows were at the same venue, which makes it easier to be there on time. Great shows with very different themes. In Martin Margiela I wore a full length leather skirt and leather jacket in the same colour, my hair was swept over my face in a dramatic style. We walked down a runway covered with Indian carpets, the photo is awesome. In Amaya Arzuaga, I had two looks of sheer short dresses in pastel colours that were beautiful to wear and walk in.

I then had some castings and a hair & makeup test. While Pietro was waiting for me, his friend called and told him about a fashion party which was right around the corner from my job, apparently Lindsay Lohan and Heidi Klum were there, so we called in on the way home. We did not get there until 12 and by then they had left.

  • September 9: The Row

I had The Row this morning — 5.30am call time :O

The hair and makeup for the show was exquisite. My look was a dress covered in over 10,000 mother of pearl buttons, amazing!! But very heavy and we had to stand in our looks for almost 4 hours, but it was worth it because the show was beautiful.

Here's a Polaroid pic of my look at The Row.

  • September 9: Sign at Lincoln Center

From the show I had to run to a couple of castings and fittings and then to the Academy of Art show which I was almost two hours late for because of my appointments and when I finally arrived I was attacked by hair, makeup and nail people all at once. NYFW sign at the Lincoln centre.

Dinner at DOS CAMINOS with the lovely Wilhelmina NY models and agents and Marilyn's Paris agents, was a great night, lots of laughs, great food, great company awesome night!! Out to dinner

  • September 9: Vintage shopping

I wore my vintage scarf today that I found at a place in Soho called Paracelso, the owner of the shop, Luxor, is the most amazing lady and we felt very privileged to have met her, we spent 2 hours in her shop going through all the amazing treasures — I felt like I could have spent days there and still not have seen it all.

Had a crazy day today, 14 castings!! And it was pouring all day, but I have this massive red umbrella so I didn't get too wet.

  • September 6: Theyskens Theory casting line

I had a go-see for Allure Magazine, and I met this lovely lady named Ro,  I had a great time chatting to her. At my casting for DKNY, one of the casting guys thought I looked like Scarlet Johansson which I thought was very funny because my last name is Johannsen.

  • September 6: COACD casting

My very last casting Mum and I made a big mistake and instead of putting into Google maps W. 37th St., we put W. 27th St., so we had to walk 10 blocks in the pouring rain, very smart of us - LOL.
