Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2012

Fittingly, the collection this season included 150 variations on the shade of blue — the color of the friendly skies after all. Silhouettes came in a wide variety from the fitted to loose with Victorian era-like roomy sleeves and dropped waists and a number of the looks this season included the house’s signature tweeds and chunky clusters of embroidery (notably on pockets).

It’s worth noting that many of the skirts and dresses this season had pockets, including the floor length ones, which were highlighted by the fact that all the models walked the plane’s runway with their hands in their pockets.
