Haider Ackermann Fuels Dior Speculations
What’s a week in fashion without any Dior succession speculations? It’s a good thing we don’t have to find out as Haider Ackermnan continues to fuel those rumors in his latest interview with @FinancialTimes. The Cut tweets, “Haider Ackermann isn’t limiting his choices: he’s interested in working for 2 fashion houses.” While Ackermann declined to tell The Financial Times which houses he was referring to, he did admit that he dreams of working on a couture collection, leading @Fashionologie and the rest of us to believe “Haider Ackermann wants to go to Dior or Chanel. But then, who doesn’t?” On that note, The Cut eliminates another Dior contender, reporting that English designer Erdem confirmed that he “won’t move to #Dior, won’t start a diffusion line,“ only leading us to further believe that Ackermann is, in fact, the man inching closer to the Dior throne, as I tweet.
On to more fashion-y news, the latest Carrie Bradshaw stills have landed on the internet, ensuing a fashion-filled 80s frenzy. The Insider tweeted, “First Look: AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie Bradshaw in The CW’s #SATC Prequel. You like?” Gossip Girl stylist Eric Damon, who has been tapped as head stylist for The Carrie Diaries, apparently does as he enthusiastically tweeted, “HAVE YOU SEEN MY NEW TAKE ON CARRIE BRADSHAW… XOXO E.” Damon reveled in the compliments and later tweeted to “@robbannasophia THEY ARE LOVING IT AND WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE! XOXO E.” Based on the killer styling on Gossip Girl, I can’t wait to see what Damon comes up with for Miss Bradshaw.

Karl’s Big Mouth Keeps Running
Speaking of Chanel, @Fashionista_com shares that “#KarlLagerfeld has some choice words for Newsweek.” And just like all things Karl, this comment went out with a definite bang. According to @WWD, in a press conference at Japan, Karl claimed that “Newsweek’s EIC Tina Brown, isn’t doing well” and pities that she has to go down with a “shitty little paper.” And because what would twitter be without a comeback, @Stylelite tweets, “So, about Karl Lagerfeld calling Newsweek ‘shitty’ and ‘dying’? Yeah, he’s wrong. @Newsweek responds.” On her own, Tina Brown challenges Karl’s claim tweeting, “The Kaiser doth protest too much! ‘Diet issue’? Newsweek ads up 27% for Q1.” So there you have it Karl.
Ferragamo’s Fashionable Fete

Salvatore Ferragamo introduced its latest scent, Signorina, with a floral fete, a super chic guest list, and pop music. Style.com reported on site the fabulous invitees including, “Bianca Balti, Stella Schnabel, and more celebrate Ferragamo’s Signorina.” Teen Vogue’s Beauty Editor @evachen added to the list, “Kate Mara! COURTNEY LOVE! Anna Sophia Robb! Emma Roberts! Theodora & Alexandra Richards! All @ferragamo‘s dinner. & erhm me and@SBVogue.” Man Repeller clued the rest of us into the chic party tweeting, “Balloons, flowers, pink stuff everywhere at Signorina’s @ferragamo launch.” Nylon Magazine’s @DaniStahl gushed about the party in a tweet: “@Ferragamo is so painfully chic, I can’t say it enough. So painfully chic. So painfully chic. So…. “ The party’s entertainment of the night included Sting’s daughter, Coco Sumner, who serenaded fashion’s “it” crowd. @Manrepeller’s Leandra Medine tweeted, “Coco being so Coco at @Ferragamo,” after the singer’s performance. Couldn’t have said it better if I tried.

Match Made in Fashion Hair Heaven?
What started out as merely hanging out turned to “Katy Perry and Baptiste Giabiconi photographed together AGAIN. Deep breaths, people, deep breaths,” suggest @thecut. Cut to a couple of days later, which is months in the celebrity dating world, Styleite tweets what we are all dying to know, “Is Baptiste Giabiconi moving to L.A. to be closer to his California Gurlfriend Katy Perry?” Soon after, Katy Perry tweets, “Don’t believe the hype,” in what could be a response to all those unconfirmed rumors. However, rumored boyfriend Baptiste is singing a different tune, as British Vogue tweets, “Model Baptiste Giabiconi @B_Giabiconi confirms his romance with @katyperry.” Stay tuned for next week’s round of twitter to see whether these two lovebirds can last…another week.
