Despite the CFDA's efforts, the fashion industry is still the target of endless flack when it comes to the lifestyle it promotes, making it all the more important that an event like The Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show takes place every year. Not only is it an upbeat vehicle to show the industry's support of wellness, but it raises awareness for heart disease. The Fashion Spot was thrilled to be a part of this special event again this year with our celebrity playlist to help fuel a heart-pumping workout routine.
This year, the show was once again held at Hammerstein Ballroom where it kicked off New York Fashion Week with passion-filled style. Minka Kelly, Jillian Michaels, Toni Braxton, Brenda Strong, Gabrielle Douglas, Kelly Osbourne and Kris Jenner, with daughters Kendall and Kylie, were among the women who took to the stage in designer red dresses.
Osbourne walked the catwalk with swagger in a mermaid Zac Posen dress and her signature purple hair, while Strong played up an Old Hollywood look with a draped cowl-neckline gown and curled hair. A toned Michaels showed her fashion savvy in a fitted cocktail Cushnie Et Ochs number as she walked the runway in a surprsingly adorable fashion (blame a possible fear of falling in her sky-high heels). The Jenners all opted for Badgley Mischka and showed off confident walks, while Wendy Williams worked her model swagger with her hand on her hip in an asymmetrical top dress.
The always stunning Kelly went for a high-slit chiffon Oscar de la Renta gown, while Roselyn Sanchez appeared to have the most fun as she danced and sashayed down the runway in a strapless lace paneled gown.
