Chanel Iman takes an intern position at Teen Vogue

What is up with athletes, celebrities, and models all interning at Vogue and Teen Vogue? It was, of course, Sean Avery from the Rangers who got this trend started and created the most buzz when news first broke that the burly, hot-tempered athlete hit the estrogen-filled Vogue office (if you don't count faux TV interns Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port).  Most recently, it was reported by Page Six that Vogue editor in Chief Anna Wintour has offered Prince William's squeeze Kate Middleton (who is rumored to be moving to New York City), an intern position. Also, a few weeks ago Canadian model Coco Rocha was roaming the Vogue hallways, although she denied that she was interning, insisting that she was merely "observing". Now, via Twitter, comes news that Chanel Iman is interning at Teen Vogue - albeit for significantly less time than any regular intern.

The 19-year-old model tweeted (with terrible grammar) "U will never guess what i've been doing for the last couple of hours - Havin a blast interning at Teen Vogue!! Setup there closet like its mine." Then later Iman wrote "Teen Vogue just got a little taste of Chanel Iman flavor in the House!!! Hey lol Teen Vogue rocks!!!"

A spokesperson from her London agency, Viva, told Vogue.com that Chanel arrived for a Teen Vogue shoot very early and "rather than wait around doing nothing, or go away for a few hours, she said that she wanted to help out in the fashion cupboard. She tidied the place up and helped organize the samples." The spokesperson continued by saying, "it's typical of Chanel and her overflowing, boundless energy as well as her down-to-earth nature," the Viva spokesperson said. "She'd always much rather be busy and useful than bored!"
