CHERYL COLE FRONTS L’OREAL

Girls Aloud singer, Cheryl Cole, has definitely been collecting her fashion credentials lately. From gracing the cover of British Vogue earlier this year, to leaving the industry enamored by her fashion choices while judging hit talent show The X Factor, Cheryl Cole has evolved leaps and bounds from the girl we saw on Pop Stars: The Rivals back in 2002. Her polished pop star look is a far cry from the gawky girl from Newcastle, but she’s managed to maintain a style true to herself – dimples and all – mixing high fashion with high street.

The singer recently landed a deal with cosmetics giants L’Oreal Paris to front a major TV, billboard and magazine campaign this autumn. Following in the footsteps of Beyonce Knowles, Linda Evangelista and Jennifer Aniston, Cheryl will represent the brand in the UK, with her first campaign promoting the new hair product called Elvive Full Restore 5.

Cheryl said of her L’Oreal deal: “I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase: ‘Because you’re worth it’, so to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing.”

Constantly in the limelight, Cheryl has become a style icon in her own right. Beating Victoria Beckham, Michelle Obama, and Carla Bruni, Cheryl soared up the fashion ranks and was voted style icon of the decade by The Style Network.

Gayle Tait, general manager of L’Oréal Paris, said: “Cheryl is a glamorous, stylish, and talented young woman whose warmth and charm has captivated the nation and has helped establish her as an inspiration to women throughout the UK.”

Cheryl’s natural beauty and sassy attitude combined have made her someone that young women can aspire to. Famed for her flawless complexion and glossy hair, Cheryl Cole seems the perfect fit for the new campaign.

Cheryl’s £500,000 contract with L’Oreal has definitely confirmed her style credentials. Whether it’s her energetic pop songs or acclaimed style choices that caught their eye, L’Oreal definitely think she’s worth it.
