AGYNESS DEYN ON FILM

English supermodel Agyness Deyn is reported to be following the well-trodden path of modelling to movies. Whether or not she’ll be more successful than predecessors such as Elle Macpherson and Cindy Crawford remains to be seen.

Rumours from across the pond suggest that Deyn will co-star in a short film with fellow Brit Linus Roache, who has become a big hit Stateside, thanks to his role in Law & Oder.

With both Deyn and Roache originally hailing from Lancashire, perhaps the story’s set ‘oop north’? The film will be directed by Peter McGough of New York-based McDermott & McGough art partnership.

According to PageSix.com, McGough was recently overheard at a saying that he’d be able to get sponsorship from Guerlain and Mikimoto – for whom Deyn campaigns – for the project.

However, we’re not holding our breath. This isn’t the first time that Deyn movie rumours have surfaced. In early summer 2008, she was reported to be starring with Jake ‘Son of Dustin’ Hoffman in a film – but that never materialized.

So, we shall wait and see. . .
