ROLAND MOURET CAPSULE COLLECTION

Do you love Victoria Beckham’s line of dresses? If you answered yes (which you likely did after seeing how stunning Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Nettles, and Blake Lively have all looked recently in her designs), you’ll most likely go crazy for anything that Roland Mouret touches. He is a perennial favorite of Victoria Beckham and it was widely rumored that he had no small part in the designing of her namesake dress collection. Mouret has a knack for creating seemingly simple, but timeless, elegant and unique cocktail dresses, and he is bringing is wonderful aesthetic to Lane Crawford, for whom he has designed a special capsule collection.

 
The Hong Kong and Beijing department store commissioned the London-based designer to design five limited edition pieces of RM by Roland Mouret. Tops will retail for about $580, while dresses will go for about $2,000, and only 14 pieces of each of the designs were products. The collection, according to Mouret, was inspired by his interpretation “of Chinese style as a balance between powerful femininity and urban strength... Europeans are very conservative, but Chinese women are not scared of color, so I used a bold palette of scorching reds and fuchsia hues.”

The collection will no doubt sell out very quickly as Mouret’s pieces are especially flattering on petite frames (something the designer himself has pointed to). I'm loving the bright colors -- perfect for spring!
