How to get red carpet hair at home...

According to Louise O’Connor, owner of OC61 Salon & Spa, there were three key hair looks at this year’s Oscars: Straight and Sleek, Back Hairdos, and Luscious Locks. We asked O’Connor for some quick tips to get each look and here’s what the hair maven – who has worked with everyone from Jessica Simpson to Coco Rocha – had to say.

Sandra Bullock, Straight and Sleek
“Sandra’s hair was straight and sleek with a side part. You can use Living Proof No Frizz to get high shine and prevent frizz from hair. Go over hair with a straightening iron to give it a sleek look.”

Demi Moore, Back ‘Do
“Using a 2 inch curling iron on hair will give hair movement so it does not look so slick. Pull hair into a low side parted ponytail. Softly wrap hair around the base of ponytail and pin hair. Use Living Proof Wave Shaping Spray to give hair more movement, and Barex Hairspray for ultimate hold.”

Cameron Diaz, Luscious Locks
“To get luscious locks like Cameron Diaz, start with Living Proof Full thickening Cream to give hair add body. Use a medium barrel curling iron on sections of hair, then brush through with a Mason Pearson Flat Brush. Finish off the look with a shine serum.”
