Dark, bloody, and mysterious are the words the spring to mind when looking at the Riccardo Tisci collection. While the Fall/Winter 2010 collection may have been in keeping with the aggressive aesthetic we’ve been seeing from Tisci since he joined Givenchy, the designer certainly seems to be expanding his vision and exploring new territory beyond the gothic. The collection was predominately black with red and white shocks.
Given that Tisci is a couturier, it’s to be expected that there was an incredible amount of detail in every piece from staccato cuts at the tops of pants to intricately embroidered purses and gloves, buttoned up shoes, and lace and sheer paneled tops, which make his collection fascinating to look at - love or hate the individual pieces.
