With Coachella just around the corner, not only do we need to think about our outfits, bikinis and how many sunnies we can pack in one bag, but we also need to think about where we will shop once we get there! Palm Desert has a lot of boutiques, but the one to visit (and not far from the Polo Fields) is The Fine Art of Design.
With a love of vintage and obvious amazing taste in fashion, Nicolas Delgado, a Parson’s grad, is sitting on a pretty little vintage gold mine. Nicolas purchases and consigns both vintage and high-end designer labels for the store, which opened in 2011.
The boutique is unique, stocked full of your favorite labels (I found Chloe wedges that are to die for!) and trust me, it is beyond easy to get lost in all of the beautiful pieces. Be sure to take a look at the gorgeous new arrivals including a Chanel gold chain necklace from 1995 and the beautiful prints from Rive Gauche, the first ready-to-wear collection designed by Yves Saint Laurent back in the late 60s.
While in the desert, be sure to take a break from the music and indulge in The Fine Art of Design.
