Refreshingly young...

Though one would be hard-pressed to imagine anyone from the older, face-lift heavy front row to be seen in one of the fringe-accented dresses, the Veronique Leroy-designed Spring 2009 Leonard collection was refreshingly young with an updated hippy-hobo vibe.

Leroy stuck to signature Leonard-style prints, starting off with a grey, sun-bright yellow, vanilla, and violet prints, before moving to a handful of looks, mostly draped belted bathing suits, in blue and white, followed by red and white combined with sunset colored flowers.

Lastly, Leroy showed fuchsia and grey prints to finish-off the collection where organza tinted lame dickey fronted dresses stuck out as the most eye-catching.

The whole collection was colorfully psychedelic, but done in a fresh, fun way with maxi length fringe, hoots, and gowns with pockets.

Like harem pants, which Leroy showed in a number of looks, the jumpsuit has made waves from New York to Paris and also made its way to the Leonard runway.

In this case of Leonard however, the silhouette was loose with pants cut so wide that most of the jumpsuits looked like gowns at first glance.
