Sacha Baron Cohen, in character as the Austrian fashionista Bruno, continued his attempt to crash Paris Fashion Week shows when, wearing a sailor outfit and carrying an anchor, he unsuccessfully attempted to get into the Vanessa Bruno's Spring 2009 runway show -- Bruno crashing Bruno – it's a shame it didn't happen.

Held at Bruno's headquarters the show started off as a cocktail party of sorts with champagne and lots of mingling in the tightly packed brick-walled, sky-lit space. The setting was the perfect backdrop for Bruno effortlessly chic aesthetic.

There were no program notes to explain the designer's inspiration, but a program was, in fact, unnecessary given the designer's cohesive, Parisian-chic collection that included simple detailing, easy draping, loose silhouettes, and a color palette that mixed neutrals with deep colors (olive green, plum, orange, bronze, saffron, all of which were surprisingly flattering against the light-skinned models).
