Over brunch yesterday, with the Copenhagen Fashion Week magazine, Cover, tFS met with the new girl band Giana Factory, just before their live performance at Danish designer Peter Jensen's S/S 2011 runway show.
The name Giana Factory may not ring many bells. That makes sense, since this aspiring girl band have only released one EP (Bloody Game) so far. They describe their music as, “a world of dark and gloomy love." Pop definitely meets dark electo with this trio.
This September, their first full-length album will be released in Denmark with the title "Save the Youth."
The first single, "Rainbow Girl," from their upcoming album can be found on iTunes.
Have yourself a listen, and decide for yourself if you agree with Peter Jensen, Adidas, & PEPE Jeans (who have all booked Giana Factory to play at their Copenhagen Fashion Week shows & events) that these ladies are the next big thing! If you start digging deeper into their MySpace Profile, you may recognize the name of lead singer Louise Foo. She happens to be Sharon Foo's baby sister (of legendary Danish-born band, The Raveonettes).
tFS asked Giana Factory which Danish designers they like the most. You can check their favorites out here:
