Winter Trend: Circle Scarves

I recently returned from a trip to Seoul, where Korean fashionistas are currently combating the frigid winter weather with circle scarves. The scarves are a continuous circle of fabric, often wrapped twice around the neck for extra warmth. In the 80s, these neckwear accessories were known as snoods, and while we might hesitate to call them that now, celebrities around the globe are definitely catching on to the trend.

Jessica Alba loves circle scarves, and favored a leopard one by Tolani last fall. Lindsay Lohan tried the trend in white during a visit to Beverly Hills with a friend.

Keri Hilson warmed her neck in a silver snakeskin patterned circle scarf on her way to tape Late Show with David Letterman in NYC. EastEnders star and 2010 Strictly Come Dancing winner Kara Tointon left the ITV studios in London wearing a gray tasseled circle scarf.

This look is extremely easy to try – no complicated knots needed! – and circle scarves can be found in a zillion colors and patterns at American Apparel. This trend is also known as the infinity scarf, as it has, literally, no end in sight.
