Target Designer Collaboration Blow-Out

When it comes to high-low designer collaborations, Target takes the cake. Not only are they one of the pioneers of the concept, they get the biggest names and most promising up-and-comers to conceive pieces whose quality and design are far beyond their price points (much unlike most of their competitors, especially when it comes to fabric quality). The downside—though undeniably also part of the appeal—is that quantities of the collaboration looks are extremely limited. I’ve been fortunate enough to be invited to preview events on a few occasions, and even then I haven’t always been able to get all of the pieces I was eying. So what’s a girl who doesn’t want to spend 48 hours sleeping in the cold outside a Target store to do? Pray for the best when Target celebrates the five year anniversary of GO International by rereleasing 34 of its most popular designer dresses from 17 past GO International designers.

Ranging in price from $24.99 to $44.99, the GO International Designer Collective will be available March 13 through April 10, 2011 at most Target stores and Target.com.

The limited-edition collective features dresses from Luella Bartley, Tara Jarmon, Paul & Joe (by Sophie Albou), Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler (by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez), Libertine (by Johnson Hartig), Alice Temperley, Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk (by Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk), Rogan (by Rogan Gregory), Richard Chai, Jonathan Saunders, Thakoon (by Thakoon Panichgul), Tracy Feith, Rodarte (by Laura and Kate Mulleavy), Zac Posen, and Tucker (by Gaby Basora).

These dresses won’t be available for long, so set those alarm clocks!
