Sophisticated Street Style at Paris Fashion Week

Fresh on the heels of John Galliano’s scandalous departure from Dior, all eyes were on Paris as the fall/winter collections hit the runways this week. Street style at Paris Fashion Week rocked audiences with a different type of buzz: sophistication.

Ankle grazing long, full skirts in a cavalcade of colors were a staple at Paris Fashion Week. On the left, a lavender skirt peeks out from an ensemble of black, coral and red. On the right, a geometric patterned skirt paired with a biker jacket.

These two show attendees are having the ultimate feminine moment in camel colored furs paired with tiny slip dresses. Both women play with proportion; on the left, a chunky fur coat balances out slimming black tights and on the right, a fur scarf gives some texture to an otherwise streamlined look. While these women are rocking totally different looks, effortless sophistication is the vibe for both.

Cropped jackets are a great way to dress up any outfit, but during Paris Fashion Week, attendees are turning to bright colors to make a bold statement. On the left, a yellow cardigan paired with a salmon top proves that electric shades can be worn together, if kept simple in silhouette. On the right, a floral lapel meets a zigzag pattern.

Leather jackets are the ultimate basic. Pair a leather jacket with a tiered pink skirt (on the left) or with a maxi dress (on the right) and lend some attitude to an otherwise ladylike shape.

Attendees piled on the scarves, in every direction, to stay warm and look chic during Paris Fashion Week. On the left, a scarf doubles as a headwrap, keeping this fashion fanatic warm. On the right, neutrals reign supreme and a lush scarf adds another dimension to this outfit.
