What We Bought: Spring/Summer Staples from Zara and More (Forum Shopaholics)

This week, our forum shopaholics revealed some bargain buys that are sure to become staples of their spring/summer wardrobes. Read on to see those and other recent purchases.

Military camouflage can essentially be a neutral in any fashion-loving woman’s wardrobe, and when the camouflage is as cute as this feminine three-quarter sleeve slim-cut jacket from Zara that caroulemapoule bought, it can be easy to incorporate into nearly every outfit.

Teja’s new orange skirt from Zara may not be neutral and it may not work its way into every outfit, but it’s certain to play a key role in her wardrobe if she plans to try out the color-blocking trend that has been gaining popularity.

Softgrey put her Zara wedges on display, pointing out that “they’re a bit high for everyday… but the berry color is so pretty.”

YvesViolet also found herself charmed by Zara’s accessories this week when she picked up this bright yellow handbag that’s sure to add an attention-grabbing punch of color to whatever she pairs it with.

Not one to fear color, La Vanguardia “went espadrilles crazy on a recent trip to Madrid. Bought six pairs for the family from Casa Hernanz and leather sandals for my daughter from Zara,” she wrote. Do those sandals come in adult sizes? They have an appealing Bottega Veneta braided leather thing going on. Is it bad to envy a toddler’s shoe collection?

Though softgrey got this sleeveless silk top with a sequin embellished panel by Dries Van Noten a while back, she only recently confessed to it. Hebden, a fellow shopaholic, appreciated that softgrey shared the “beautiful” purchase.

Beautiful in a softer, more antique and romantic way, is eu-pt’s new Anita dress from Isabel Marant’s secondary Etoile Isabel Marant line. A lovely new summer wardrobe staple.
