Get the Look: Celeb-Inspired Spring Stripes

Sometimes it’s the little touches that take your outfit from average to enviable. Celebrities have stylists to calculate all the complicated nuances of putting together a look, but we aren’t all so fortunate. Luckily, tFS has put together some celeb-inspired styling tips and tricks to help you give your look that extra oomph! This week, stars show you how to earn your stripes.

Tip #1: Style a Breton striped dress for evening

Breton stripes are an easy way to achieve a classic, European look this spring—even for evening! Actress Michelle Borth wore a body-conscious short sleeved Breton stripe mini dress at the screening of her film A Good Old-Fashioned Orgy at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC. She dressed it up with patent pointed-toe pumps and a clutch, sticking to a simple black palette to pull the look together.

Tip #2: Try a tank with wide, bright stripes

Bright color blocking is huge this spring, and a striped tank is a fun way to try the look. Mollie King, member of the British pop group The Saturdays, paired a sunny-striped tank with denim cutoffs and chunky platform loafers for an effortless LA style.
