Throwing on a pair of heels can have an instantly transformative effect. Heels make a woman stand taller and straighter, her legs appear longer, and they can bring an outfit (literally) to a new level of chic. Here, some of our fashionable forum members demonstrate the power of a pair of heels.
ALLTHATSTYLE, AiryFairy, Lapin de Lune
ALLTHATSTYLE loves to shop the UK’s high street stores. Here she paired her flowy skirt and top from Topshop with open-toed lace-up booties from Dorothy Perkins and a necklace from New Look.
AiryFairy’s accessories are the stars of this otherwise simple outfit. Her white tank is from Urban Outfitters and the denim is by Madewell. The strappy brown heels are by Michael Kors, her brown belt is vintage, the bracelets were purchased on a trip to Barcelona, and her attention-grabbing toucan necklace is also vintage.
Lapin de Lune upped the ante of her striped H&M top and slim Kristen jeans from Topshop by pairing them with her “ancient” high-heeled sandals from New Look.
fashionandfrank, COTTDS, Rockin Republic
Fashionandfrank topped her Etro trousers with a Lahssan trench and accessorized with a Prada bag and Topshop hoop earrings.
COTTDS looked like a chic jetsetter in an ensemble of items that nearly all came from Zara. The only non-Zara piece in this outfit is her grey Enzo Costa tee.
Rockin Republic dressed up her tapered sweatpants from H&M with a Zaatxchi blazer, heels from Zara, and a Balenciaga bag.
frickys, AiryFairy, juneping
Frickys once again incorporated her white Zara pumps into a simultaneously simple, chic, and edgy ensemble. Her blue mini skirt was also a Zara purchase, she used her DIY skills to create her uniquely shredded white top, the jacket is by Amen, the green clutch is from Asos, and her sunglasses are by Céline.
AiryFairy wore her bright yellow Ingwa Melero dress with strappy brown and black buckled shoes by Chie Mihara.
Juneping coordinated her outfit around her Jimmy Choo shoes. Her white Zara top is tucked into an Illia skirt from Barney’s and her bright blue clutch is also from Zara.
