Spring Collaborations: The Love List

1. doo.ri for Macy’s Impulse, Scoop Neck Short Sleeve Geometric Printed Draped Wrap Dress, $75

Though the launch lacked the frenzy of recent masstige collaborations like Jason Wu for Target and Mary Katrantzou for Topshop, Doo-Ri Chung’s limited edition collection for Macy’s is worthy of some attention. Full of feminine, wearable, and affordable pieces, it’s refreshing to see that all are in stock and not on eBay.

2. Diane von Furstenberg x Current/Elliott The Classic Skinny, $258

It is undoubtedly the season of colorful, printed denim, so a collaboration between the print-loving DVF and denim brand Curent/Elliott seems like a match made in fashion heaven.

3. Milly for Sperry Top-Sider® Platform Pump, $224.95

This capsule collection from Milly for heritage brand Sperry is a chic departure from the classic boat shoes we’re accustomed to. The preppy style gets an update with Milly’s signature colorful prints, along with details like platform heels, nautical rope ties, and wedge soles.

4. Florence Broadhurst for Kate Spade Octagonal Statement Necklace, $328

A new collection from Kate Spade features prints and inspiration from Australian artist Florence Broadhurst. Japanese florals adorn clothing, accessories, and housewares and inspire this geometric statement necklace.

5. Manolo Blahnik for J. Crew Fall 2012

Though we have to wait until fall for this collaboration which will reportedly retail for $550 and up on jcrew.com, pointy-toe pumps and cropped pants are destined to be my go-to look for spring.

6. Brian Burkhardt Unicorn Clutch for Kenneth Cole New York, $300

The Project Accessory winner designed this limited-edition clutch for Kenneth Cole, with 100% of net profits being donated to amFAR. Made of calf hair and an artful unicorn horn closure, it’s a definite head-turner.
