Maybe it has to do with the fact that today is Friday the 13th, or maybe it’s just a coincidence, but there were many hints and undertones of subversion in this week’s forum street style images. The colors and layers were darker, and the styling felt a bit edgier on the whole, with forum members taking fashion risks in their expressions of personal style. Here are some of the highlights.

Elenita’s H&M crossbody bag provided a pop of color against her all black ensemble of an H&M dress, Kapp Ahl jacket, and Bianco oxfords.
Lafindesiecle paired a thrifted grey leopard print skirt with a slip from Urban Outfitters and Opening Ceremony shoes.
Haptronic wore Ksubi jeans and Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers with a Chronicles of Never t-shirt, a Raf by Raf Simons cardigan, and an M65 field jacket.

PoserSeries paired a thrifted sheer maxi skirt with a Forever21 t-shirt, a BCBG belt, Deena & Ozzy studded wedges, and a clutch from Aldo.
Mariliis donned slim black pants by Link with Shu boots, a Vero Moda blouse, an H&M jacket, and a bag she snagged on eBay.
Lafindesiecle’s pink lace bra peeked out from under the Alexander Wang tank top that she wore with a Burberry skirt and lace-up Steve Madden boots.
JeanPierreMATTEI, justlikesushi, shoutouttoyou
JeanPierreMATTEI customized an H&M tee with a homemade felt flower and wore it with a pair of drop-crotch pants of his own design. He further accessorized with Alpha Rangers boots.
Justlikesushi wore a pair of Ichi mint jeans with a vintage sweater, an Ohmyfrock leather jacket, wedged hightop sneakers, and a Marc by Marc Jacobs backpack.
Shoutouttoyou tossed a thrifted blazer over a black v-neck tee from Asos, a thrifted denim vest, and black coated Pepe jeans. She finished the look with Maruti boots, Ray-Ban sunglasses, and a black leather tote by Cowboysbag.
