Forum Street Style: June Works It In Her Favorite Isabel Marant Pieces

In this week’s installment of forum street style, we put the spotlight on June, who goes by juneping in the forums. If you’re familiar with the previous iteration of forum street style, you’ll recognize June as a frequent street style contributor. Though she grew up in Hong Kong, China, June came to the U.S. for graduate school and currently lives and works here as an architect. June prides herself on stocking her wardrobe with a few quality pieces (often hunted for and purchased at a discount) that she’ll mix and match creatively in endless combinations. How would you describe your personal style? Well, I would say it's more on the simple side with an edge. Since I practice architecture and studied architecture, I have the sense to understand shapes, forms, colors, and materials. In my younger days I could put an outfit together with the right mix and match of the proportion and materials and now I am more comfortable with myself and I just want to have fun with fashion and each day I'll think of something interesting instead of being safe (looking proper).

Whose style are you most inspired by? Nicole Richie, Miranda Kerr, fashion bloggers (Yara of This Chick's Got Style, Caroline's Mode, The Working Girl) and more. Sometimes when I see an interesting outfit image online (any fashionable ladies), I either bookmark it or download the image for inspiration.

What’s the one item you can’t live without? Probably my Rick Owens leather jacket…the fit is great and the quality of the leather is just the most perfect thing I've ever touched.

What’s your best purchase ever? The Isabel Marant July jacket I got from the Outnet for 70% off…it was one of the most sought-after items from her collection.

Where are your favorite places to shop? Barneys, they have the coolest things.

What’s on your Holy Grail wardrobe wish list? The Isabel Marant Blackson boots, they are such a work of art.
