It seems like eons ago, although it’s actually only about six months, since I first experienced rampant feelings of lust for French label Heimstone’s Perfecto jacket. It was, not to put too fine a point on it, perfection, the ideal combination of the lady and the tramp. Also, hideously expensive (thanks to the exchange rate) and very hard to find (thanks to…lack of foresight from US buyers?). I had, sadly, given up hope.
And then, a couple of weeks ago, I was doing a little random Googling and discovered the Perfecto on sale for 30% off. A little more Googling and I found a discount code for the online store that was having the sale. Which meant an additional 20% off the price.
The end result is that the object of my affection is now hanging in my closet and I have saved myself a tidy little chunk of cash. I feel both virtuous (due to being, even on a marginal basis, fiscally responsible) and euphoric (because the jacket is finally mine, all mine).
Which leads me to the moral of this story, never give up hope and always search for discount codes (especially when it comes to small boutiques).
