My Perfect Holiday Look: Holiday Brunch

A statement sweater (#1: $92 at Topshop) takes most of the work out of accessorizing, which is perfect because I have better things to focus on (I really like breakfast foods). I’m wearing these retro-meets-modern shades from Elizabeth and James (#2: $225 at Shopbop) to protect my eyes (and the bags underneath that I’ve accumulated). This gorgeous Claire Vivier duffle bag (#3: $632 at Steven Alan) was my big early holiday present to myself, though it’s practical enough to make it feel like less of a splurge. I’m feeling reasonably priced itty-bitty jewelry like this lovely Vanessa Mooney bracelet (#4: $32 at Koshka), especially because it doesn’t clash with the jewels in the sweater. Rachel Comey boots (#5: $405 at Creatures of Comfort) say so much without speaking a word; namely: I’ve really got my stuff together, check me out. You need about 100 pairs of completely opaque black tights (#6: $14.24 at ASOS) if you’re like me and live in skirts all year, even in the winter. Socks (#7: $14 at Steven Alan) add the perfect little pop of color—and comfort!—and these are particularly festive. I think a faux-leather skirt (#8: $58 at Nasty Gal) is the perfect thing to pair with a pretty, fluffy pastel sweater.

This is a look that screams “effortlessly put-together” and also “ready to chow down,” which is exactly my MO.
