Runway Inspiration: Dramatic, Cinematic Winter Style

When we tried to come up with one word for the best winter looks from the 2013 season, we couldn't get "sensuous" out of our head. Simple at first glance, the word, like the collections, implies so much more than sexiness or a pleasurable feeling. Sight, smell, even sound played a part in our perception as we imagined the soundtrack to the life of our favorite looks.

The Winter 2013 woman is bold, confident and isn't afraid to own her style, head-to-toe. If she's feeling a bomber jacket in the morning, she's going androgynous all the way with trousers and a tucked in button up. If she wants to feel just a little naughty with a Belle de Jour vibe, she's wearing her oversized fur and chooses a skirt that exposes her garter as she walks. She channels Nineties minimalism like she invented it that morning.

She's nothing short of screen siren material. See what we mean by taking a look at our favorite outfits from our favorite designers of the season. Chanel, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Chalayan and Derek Lam are on the list. These were the hits, according to us. Don't worry, you'll be drooling too. And you'll be ultra inspired on your next shopping trip. Go dramatic and cinematic for your coldest days, you won't regret it.
