Buy The Farm: Keeping it Real in Country-Inspired Pieces

This season, designers turned away from so many fit-and-flare frocks we've seen recently to present a looser fit, something more androgynous and rustic. Think of it as a nod to American (and British) agricultural history. Belstaff, Hermes and even H&M got in on the ode to country pieces that were clearly inspired by the men and women who toil in fields and barns and give us the term "down-to-earth."

Use these gorgeous runway looks to inspire your winter styling. A shaggy coat is divine for cold, windy days. A wool vest over a silk or chiffon button up will channel masculine gentry. Bold woven plaids and chunky sweaters, as well as houndstooth, all call to mind simpler living and homemade, yet high quality, textiles. Chunky sweaters and a chiffon, blouson dress from Tory Burch rounds out our collection of picks. These looks give new meaning to the term keeping it real. Really chic, really classic and really cool.
