Statement Flares

Yes, that much-loved 70s trend is coming around again, but at least it’ll give your skinny jeans a break. For fall, Jonathan Saunders has infused the era-evocative staple with a pleated insert to add more width. Don’t be scared, as they’re easy to balance out with a fitted top.

Fuzzy Coats

The FROW was dominated by oversized shaggy coats, which also made it into the collections of designers like House of Holland. Be it curly balls of fluff or oversized sheepskin pieces, it’s a look that will add inches to your silhouette, but miles to your fashion cred.

Roll Necks

Erdem took casualising to the next level this season by teaming gowns with a ribbed roll neck. We’re not too sure whether this is a look that we’ll be trialing for a special occasion, but the roll neck knit alone is an easy trend to incorporate into your wardrobe.

Red Is the Colour

Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint just one main colour trend, but this season royal red was definitely making its mark. DAKS’ runway was one of the best for this trend as the sumptuous hue completed many an outfit from head-to-toe.

Kilts

The piece that’s long been associated with Scottish heritage is about to have its own fashion moment thanks to the likes of the cool Topshop Unique runway. The trend was further fuelled by Le Kilt, making its debut at LFW with a presentation, which teamed the staple with statement tees and Parisian berets.
