Here’s Every Piece From Miranda Kerr’s Truly Great Mother Denim Collab

Model and street style star Miranda Kerr is known for her ability to make simple, elegant pieces pop. She’s also known her love of Los Angeles-based denim brand Mother. “She was one of the first big models and celebrities to wear our stuff,” Tim Kaeding, cofounder and creator of the California-cool label, told WWD. And so, Mother asked Kerr to try her hand at denim design for its new (these days, requisite) celebrity collaboration.

Kerr’s taste for timelessness shines through in the 12-piece Miranda + Mother capsule collection. “I must say I was kind of looking to Jane Birkin when designing the collection, but I feel there’s also a little bit of like Cindy Crawford in the 90s as well. You’ll see some pieces are little 90s and then others are a little 70s. There’s a classic jean which is like Audrey [Hepburn]–inspired as well,” the former Angel shared with Vogue.

In addition to several upbeat statement tees (“attitude of GRATITUDE” reads one crop), the collection consists of four pairs of jeans, a jumpsuit, an A-line button-front skirt and a pair of frayed shorts that meet all of our denim criteria. With their 11-inch rise, the high-waisted items are truly high-waisted (“I feel they elongate your legs,” the supermodel told WWD, adding, “it kind of holds everything in as well”). The jumpsuit features carefully placed cutouts that add a dose of femininity to the would-be utilitarian look. And then there are the perfectly portioned flares, begging to be worn with a pair of chunky-heeled sandals or boots. Although, as Miranda told Vogue, “I made [the flare] so it’s cropped so you can wear it with sneakers and still get that elongated look.”

Prices range from $105 for one of the aforementioned statement tees to $325 for a button-down denim shirt featuring butterfly embroidery. The jeans hover between $215 and $228, on par with the brand’s non-celeb-stamped offerings. Plus, proceeds from sales will go towards Sydney’s The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation, for which Kerr is an ambassador. “Being involved in this creative process is something that I enjoy and the fact that it’s for a great cause was the icing on the cake,” said the Australian beauty. “The hospital provides so much support for women and assistance for mothers and their babies.”

While the jeans are currently listed as “coming soon” (read: any day now), the message tees are already up for grabs. Shop the full range in the slideshow below.
