Where to Get That ‘Women Are Smarter’ Tee Worn by Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz

Like fellow heartthrob Ryan Gosling, Harry Styles is a card-carrying feminist. The singer has, on many occasions, used his palpitation-inducing voice to advocate for equal rights for men and women. He backs organizations like HeforShe, Emma Watson’s U.N. gender equality initiative. He’s defied those who dare to mock the credibility of his young, predominately female fan base: “Who’s to say that young girls who like pop music – short for popular, right? – have worse musical taste than a 30-year-old hipster guy? That’s not up to you to say,” stated Styles in a recent Rolling Stone interview. “Music is something that’s always changing. There’s no goal posts. Young girls like the Beatles. You gonna tell me they’re not serious? How can you say young girls don’t get it? They’re our future. Our future doctors, lawyers, mothers, presidents, they kind of keep the world going.” Also, he’s helped out with the whole pink rebrand.

To make his thoughts on gender politics even more explicit, this Wednesday the singer stepped out in a vintage white T-shirt bearing the words “Women are smarter.” Itsasickness, the brand that makes the tee, launched the “Women are smarter” campaign to carry on the legacy of the January 21 Women’s March on Washington. Note: The slogan isn’t meant to belittle men. “The words on our T-shirt have nothing to do with women being smarter than men,” explains the brand on its website. “They have everything to do with lending a voice and advocating, in our own sick way, for policies relating to equal pay and healthcare.”

The T-shirt (which, by the way, Zoë Kravitz also owns) is still available for purchase on the site. In addition to having that butter-soft vintage feel (Itsasickness sources plain vintage tee shirts from domestic vendors, then has local printers add on the words), the tees support a good cause. For every $100 T-shirt it sells, Itsasickness donates a portion of the proceeds to its local Planned Parenthood.

A feminist tee that’s cozy, charitable, affordable and Kravitz- and Styles-approved? Yes, please.
