See Every Piece from Alexander Wang x Adidas Season 2, Drop 1 (Spoiler Alert: Bike Shorts Are In)

Earlier this week, a Ryan Staake-lensed campaign film starring a fleet of New York City bike messengers announced that a new Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang collection was on its way. Today, the duo released its Season 2 campaign imagery (photographed by Juergen Teller, per usual) along with product shots from the unisex athleisure line’s first drop. (In keeping with tradition, the collab will be released in stages.)

While the duo’s inaugural collection referenced soccer and bootleg culture, this one draws inspiration from the free-spirited, adrenaline-filled lifestyle of bike messengers and ravers. The first Season 2 drop consists of 27 pieces, among them slim-fit cycling onesies and zip-up tees emblazoned with the sorts of phrases you’d find on 90s-era club kid flyers (“Alt Dimension,” etc.). We’re fans of the fitted shorts — which we’d style with an oversized novelty tee — and the three-stripe bandit masks (squirrel yours away for winter). Hypebeasts will be pleased to hear that the collab includes a brand new Wang-approved sneaker, dubbed the “AW Hike Lo.” It boasts suede uppers, molded rubber outsoles and Adidas Boost tooling.

Starting at noon on Saturday, July 29, New Yorkers will be able to order these gems by tracking down Wang x Adidas posters plastered throughout the city. The ads will show Teller’s imagery, corresponding product codes, plus a phone number to which you can text your order. (A poster on the corner of Greenwich St. and Clarkson St. will have every single product code from the drop, so head straight there if you’re not in the mood for a treasure hunt.) A bike messenger will then hand-deliver your package, which will be cleverly wrapped to resemble…other things bike messengers typically carry. Unfortunately, those outside of the city cannot partake in this fun-if-somewhat time-consuming guerrilla delivery service.

Non-New Yorkers can shop Season 2, drop one online and at select Adidas and Alexander Wang stores beginning Saturday, August 5.
