Bold, inventive graphics are hot on the runways for Fall 2010. Strong stripes, thick checks, and color blocking are paired with bright solids for a statement-making contrast. Softer black and white swirls create gorgeous dresses and silk blouses, while bold stripes looked hot on daywear pieces and jumpsuits. There were two strong looks: the abstract graphic and the bold geometric print. Both were mixed with outerwear including boyfriend blazers, monochromatic overcoats, and plenty of oversized accessories.
A plaid wool overcoat in black and white makes a simple geometric statement by Dries Van Noten.
Asymmetry, a flowy dress, and an abstract black and white scattered print shows off the ease of BCBG’s collection.
Perfectly pretty at Carolina Herrera this printed, silk cocktail number is more exciting with the blood red contrasts.
Leave it to Betsey Johnson to make a statement in a bold, checkered jumpsuit with a magenta, tutu belt.
Pretty as a Lela Rose: this soft, paint splattered, black and white printed dress, is highlighted by a mustard color, structured overcoat.
Have some fun with your wardrobe and decide how bold you are with the severity of your geometric print for Fall 2010 – but please, keep the tutu belt in your closet.
