TREND: MENSWEAR FOR WOMEN

Menswear has never looked so good on a woman. The tailored jackets in financial worker grey, the herringbone slacks with a slouchy boy fit… Designers are showing off the way a women’s femininity shines through in a man’s wardrobe. Luckily, women have more leeway with what they can get away with in the real world, and are mixing a load of colors, fabrics, and styles to pull off these men’s suit looks. A slouchy pair of trousers is rolled up, belted, and worn with a pair of stilettos, a boxy jacket is mixed with a sheer, chiffon blouse. Whether sleek, casual, or straight from the office, these men’s clothes really show off a woman’s figure.

A sleek pair of capri pants and a double breasted jacket from Diane Von Furstenberg are paired with a rosette bolero and an “oh so soft” chiffon hat.

Ralph Lauren is chic in a brown wool vest, with matching jacket and sleek trousers.

Mixing colors, prints, and fabrics, DKNY goes casually corporate with a herringbone trouser and boxy grey suit jacket.

Dress it up in a Givenchy tuxedo jacket with sexy leather bottoms.

Keep it simple with a man’s, oversized suit jacket or go all out in heels and a sleek suit – just keep in mind the many options your boyfriend may have to offer with this new Fall 2010 trend.
