What We Bought: Vintage Florals and Outnet Birthday Sale Scores (Forum Shopaholics)

The forum shopaholics continue to share some of their most recent purchases. Read on for some vintage scores and Outnet Birthday buys.

When an ebay seller was clearing her closet of old Isabel Marant items, luckyme managed to acquire this floral “Isabel Marant dress from a past season.” She’s thinking it might be from Spring 2003, but she loves that it looks vintage.

Rochasfille indulged in some actual vintage, among several other purchases, with what she called “my first real vintage splurge, an 80s Leonard silk dress.” For a dress from the 80s, this feels very modern.

“Been wanting a wide, gold, bracelet for a while now… finally got one,” Hebden wrote when she posted this recent purchase. “Very, very cool, it reminds me of a snake with little sand particles on it,” luckyme approved.

I’m completely jealous of everyone who managed to snag a ticket to the Outnet’s second birthday sale in which a selection of items was available for two dollars/euros/pounds depending on your country of origin. Luckily, the Secret Shopaholics thread is allowing me to (somewhat) live vicariously through others.

Though she was initially hoping for a handbag, lola rose went with this lovely “Halston silk button down dress in antique rose.” Not bad for two whole euros. Also €2 at the Outnet was Teja’s padded cashmere-blend cardigan by Lutz & Patmos.

Caroulemapoule also managed to get her hands on a ticket to the Outnet sale, and she saved a staggering £1,120 on this Sonia Rykiel sweater… which is kind of making me hate her right now.

KamenKutak made the Outnet a shopping destination this week as well, but it wasn’t for their birthday sale. When a 3.1 Phillip Lim blazer she had purchased turned out to be a disappointment, she went back and tried again, ordering this Alexander Wang version with atypical lapels and a vented back that holds a bit more interest.

Luckyme teased these Celine flats earlier in the week, telling us all to “prepare to be blown away.” She described them as “the most incredible ballet flats in a dusty rose with an ankle strap that has a thick silver chain wrapped around it. They blew my mind when I saw them… truth, I confess I am a Philophile,” she wrote. When the shoes arrived, she managed to snap this picture in her office as she described, “the wall paneling strikes me because Celine brought back the ‘woodie’ look for fall.” An apt observation by a true Philophile.
