Easy(ish) Recipes for Fall Foods You’ll Want to Eat Now!

But if we spend all our time cooking, that’s less time spent bundled up for walks amidst the fall foliage or unbundled with cocktails in front of the fire. So we’ve rounded up some easy recipes that give the most fall-comfort-food-bang for the effort involved. Enjoy!

Goat Cheese and Pumpkin Fondue

This is so simple to throw together, especially in a crock pot at a party, sounds classy and tastes delicious with a baguette.

  • ½ to 1 Cup Pumpkin Puree, depending how pumpkiny you want it to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Ground Cardamom
  • ¼ Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 6 Ounces Goat Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons Half and Half

Whisk together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cardamom and nutmeg. Cardamom is expensive so if you want to skip that, I don’t think it makes a big difference. To make this on the stovetop, heat the half and half over a low heat and add in the goat cheese. Whisk the half and half with the goat cheese, until creamy, adding more liquid if needed. Pour the goat cheese mixture into a ramekin and swirl in the pumpkin.

Or, dump everything but the pumpkin into your crock pot, stirring every few minutes until creamy, and then swirl in your pumpkin. Enjoy!
