Day five of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s Milan Fashion Week schedule granted us the Fall 2026 collection of Dolce & Gabbana. Complete with Madonna (muse and longtime friend of the house) sat perched front row, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana revisited the origins and DNA of the maison: Sicily, lace, and black as an expression of strength and power. Models like Awar Odhiang and Jacqui Hooper emerged from backstage and down a streamlined runway, sporting the sleek and polished almost entirely black collection. The lineup, titled “Identity”, opened with a series of coats and jackets featuring backs that replicated their buttoned fronts. “Identity is the ultimate luxury — a language built on roots that are still alive: Sicily as emotion, black as strength, lace as intimacy, tailoring as authority,” stated the iconic Italian design duo.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Beautiful models, beautiful hair and makeup, and beautiful, feminine clothes. Even the soundtrack is beautiful.” [Zorka]
“They literally wipe the floor with everyone in Milan! I like it, a lovely homage to their legacy, melancholia/black/lace/Italian neorealism. I’m glad they have returned to their sharpest codes.” [Kanzai]
“So glad they’ve been sticking strictly to the DNA of their brand. No gimmicks, just good clothes. It’s coherent and that’s it.” [Blaiseybabey]
“It’s distinctly Dolce & Gabbana, and I love that I can say that because it’s a sign that they’ve carved a place in the fashion pantheon for themselves.” [Squizree]
“Snoozefest autopilot show. The type of collection that looks like it had been designed in one week.” [FashionPower]
“Nothing new but the quality is unquestionable.” [thiago]
“A very good collection. I think D&G on autopilot somehow always works. When it’s that well executed, perfectly styled, perfectly incarnated, it just works well.” [Lola701]
