Hailee Steinfeld: Beauty Look of the Week

Who: Hailee Steinfeld

Where: The 9th Annual Teen Vogue ‘Young Hollywood’ party

Why we like it: Summer may be over but this is proof that a warm, bronzed face works all year round. The look is wonderfully age appropriate but could easily work for a woman twice Hailee’s age.

How to get it at home: Start by applying a small about of Clarins’ Beauty Flash Balm $45 to the skin. This best-selling formula acts as a primer with undeniable skin care benefits. It helps to eliminate visible signs of fatigue and tightens skin overall helping to turn back the clock and mimic Hailee’s naturally flawless skin. Next, apply a very thin coat of foundation, such as HD Invisible Cover Foundation $40, all over the skin. It’s important not to pick up too much product so use a stippling or foundation brush rather than a more bristle heavy kabuki. Cover any remaining flaws with NARS’ Concealer $22 using a small brush, patting to blend the edges.

Next, apply a shimmery, bronze cheek color such as NARS’ The Multiple in Laguna $39, blending it into the skin on the cheeks and up onto the temples as you would a powder contour. With a crease brush, apply the same product to the socket line of the eye as a base for your eye shadow and smudge it slightly under the lower lash line. Apply a lighter glittery beige shadow such as Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow in Midnight Cowboy Rides Again $17 along the upper lash line and into the corner. Apply a soft black kohl liner across the upper lash line winging it slightly towards the outer corner. Finish the eyes by curling your eyelashes and applying a coat of a volumizing mascara such as Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara $22 for a false eyelash effect. Lastly, apply a neutral, glossy lipstick such as Bobbi Brown’s Treatment Lip Shine SPF 15 $23 which doubles as a lip balm and shiny color.
