Celebrity Makeup Artist Stevie Huynh: A tFS Exclusive

Elle coverStevie Huynh has a certain je ne sais quoi in his work. As a makeup artist — clients include Robyn, Taraji P Henson, and Jessica Chastain — Stevie brings a "quirky glamour" that is evident in every face he paints. From fashion shows to editorials to red carpets, Stevie has worked with some of the finest magazines (Vogue, V and Elle) and photographers (Sebastian Kim, Terry Tsiolis and Max Farago, to name a few) in the industry. Stevie's clean beauty approach is right on par with the times, making him a highly sought after artist.

Here, I ask Stevie my favorite beauty-related questions.

INDUSTRY BREAK: I don't think that it's appropriate to say that I ever really got one "break". I feel like it's a continuous process, at least for me. But if we're talking about how I became interested in the industry it would really have to be in majority because of Madonna.

Cle de Peau Concealer

It is literally your one way ticket to gorgeous skin.

Lancome Le Crayon Kohl

Its unique texture puts it between a precise liquid to a velvety, smudgy kohl and the colors are super rich and luxe. It is the one with the most controllable use.

MAC Carbon Eyeshadow

It's perfect for adding depth and creating a subtle line that intensifies and makes the lashes appear thicker.

Givenchy Le Prismissime Visage Mat

It has a combination of 9 different varieties of tones that, when swirled together, make a perfect golden sun kissed shade. The texture is beautiful and untraceable to the naked eye.

Korres Lip Butter

Easy to use subtle color that can be built to intensify as a gloss. It's also all natural so you can eat off as much of it as you want!

FAVORITE LOOK: My favorite look is probably a super sexed out Disco viixen I created for German Vogue (below). There's something in a super confident woman that is so unconventionally sexy to me.

BEST BEAUTY SECRET: To intensify an eyeshadow, wet the brush to apply!
