Get Lily Collins’ Snow White-Inspired Beauty Look

Who: Lily Collins

Where: The Glamour Woman of the Year Awards

Why we like it: This starlet has been on our beauty radar since her breakout last year so we thought it was just about time to recognize it. This look, which has become her signature, is a modern take on Snow White, the role which thrust her into the spotlight.

How to get it at home: Start by priming your face with Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF15, $18. With a full coverage matte look such as this, it’s important to have a smooth and even base. Follow that with a foundation, such as Tarte’s Amazonia Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF15, $38. If you are looking to make this look more daytime appropriate, try a tinted moisturizer or sheer foundation for a more natural look. To get Lily’s subtle flush, use a small amount of a liquid blush, such as Make Up For Ever’s HD Microfinish Blush in Caught in the Act, $26. If you accidently apply too much, use the brush that you used to apply your foundation to blend out any excess color.

If you’re lucky enough to have brows like Lily, simply brush through them to remove any product that’s caught. If not, use a brow pen or pencil to define and shape your brows. When using glitter shadows, a primer is very important. A product, such as Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance, $18, will help keep the shadow in place and limit fall out. Start with a creamy shimmer for the base, such as Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow in Vanilla, $18, then use a warm golden glitter, such as Make Up For Ever’s Glitter in Sand, $14. Rather than line your eyes with black, which would look quite harsh, line your lower lash line with NARS’ Larger Than Life  Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Appoa, $23. Finish off your eyes with false lashes, such as Sephora Collection’s False Eye Lashed in Mink, $8, but if you want a more subtle look, opt for individual lashes instead.

To get Lily’s rich red lip, look for a pigmented color, such as Illamasqua’s Lipstick in Box, $22. Finish off with a simple clear gloss, such as Sephora Collection’s Glossy Gloss in Clear, $10, or a shimmery gloss for an added punch.
