Get Katy Perry’s Dusty Rose and Lilac Beauty Look

Where: The Australian premiere of Katy Perry: Part Of Me

Why we like it: You never know what you’re going to get with Katy Perry’s beauty look but she’s been wearing a version of this look for the past few weeks and it’s one of her best yet.

How to get it at home: It’s clear Katy’s wearing a full coverage foundation here, but her skin still has some luminosity to it. Try a foundation, such as Illamasqua’s Skin Base, $42, which gives a natural finish with just enough coverage and cover any dark circles or imperfections with a concealer, such as Amazing Cosmetics’ Amazing Concealer, $42, which has garnered a reputation for being an incredible, full coverage formula.

Dark brows are a key feature of this look; by using a product, such as Anastasia’s Brow Wiz, $20, you can carefully pencil in the shape and then remove any extra product with the brush end. Katy’s smoky plum eye is a wonderful summer look that’s easily recreated with Bobbi Brown’s new Desert Twilight Eye Palette, $60. Use the mushroomy grey tone across the whole lid, shade in the lash line, crease, and outer v with the dark plum, and use the pink as a subtle highlight. Apply a gel pencil or other dark liner, such as Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion, $19, on the waterline and upper lash line.

While Katy’s false lashes are a bit too much for everyday, a nylon fiber extension system, such as the Two Faced Better Than False Lashes Nylon Lash Extension System, $35, builds up your lashes for false-looking but easily wearable length and volume. Apply a very small amount of a powder blush to your cheeks if you feel you need extra color, but use a very light hand as it’s already quite a heavy look. Finish off your look with a dusty rose lipstick, such as Illamasqua’s Lipstick in Climax, $22.
