Step 4: Down and Dry
You're ready to start blow drying. Bend down and, you guessed it, blow dry your hair focusing on the roots. Using a vented brush to comb your roots forward as you dry will allow the maximum amount of air to enter, creating more volume. When your hair is nearly dry, move on to step five.

Step 6: Be a Tease
This is step is optional. If after your previous efforts, roots aren't heightened to your expectations, feel free to use a teasing comb at your crown. Part your hair the way you want it for your finished look. Take a section of hair and apply the brush to the bottom, brush in short strokes toward your scalp (keeping your part in tact). Repeat on all sections at the top of your head. Use your regular brush to gently comb hair in longer strokes toward hair ends, starting at the root and finishing at the tip.
