Tata Harper: Everything You Need to Know About Starting an All-Natural Beauty Routine

I’m always visiting stores that carry Tata Harper, like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, so I get to meet a lot of our clients. I feel that one of the things people really struggle with or get discouraged by is transitioning from using synthetics to an all-natural and healthier lifestyle. It can be very overwhelming and many people don’t know where to begin, but it doesn’t have to be intimidating or hard to achieve. I always tell our clients to focus on the things that happen in your daily life and start taking it one day at a time when it comes to health and beauty.

For example, you can say, “Next month, I’ll focus on food.” Think about what you’re eating, the quality of the food and where you’re getting it from. Then, decide what kind of change you want to make and find a suitable replacement. This first step is how I personally began to make a positive lifestyle change. It’s about keeping it manageable and making small changes at a time. For me, skincare was last on my list because it was nearly impossible to find anything, which made it tough. I basically took care of all the easy stuff first and then got into the more complex things like my beauty regimen later.

When you decide to tackle beauty, look for everyday necessities like shampoo, conditioner and body wash before shifting your skincare. I find that it is a lot harder to change things that are big compromises like an eye cream you’ve used for years or a serum you really love. We tend to be really attached to these things, however, experimenting with an organic and all-natural daily staple like body products and face washes makes easing into this lifestyle less scary.

Remember that you don’t have to do it all at once, either. Simply start buying all-natural options the next time you need to replenish the products you’re not so attached to and later move on to the tougher things like that eye cream or serum. A steady and progressive change works a lot better because it makes it easy to implement and stick with a new routine.
