Milk Makeup Just Launched a Limited-Edition Rainbow Glitter Highlighter Stick in Honor of Pride Month

Ask any beauty junky: The folks over at Milk Makeup know what they’re doing. The fledgling beauty brand’s best-selling Holographic Stick, which gives wearers a cool, almost alien-like glow, is a favorite of beauty vloggers and Insta-girls alike. Its coveted Blur Stick acts like a soft-focus filter for your face, eliminating shine and concealing pores. Fashionista editor Karina Hoshikawa went so far as to call the silicone- and oil-free formula “magic.”

Aside from making quality, cruelty-free beauty products that enhance rather than conceal (Instagram makeup being over and all), the one-year-old brand has earned its high reputation by championing, to quote co-founder Mazdack Rassi, “consumers who love creativity and self-expression. They are the rebels, thinkers and makers who shape our vision and bring it to life.” The cool-kid beauty line is one of the few that instinctually puts forth inclusive ads.

Milk Makeup Glitter Stick, $30 at Milk Makeup

In keeping with its mandate, Milk Makeup is launching a limited-edition rainbow glitter highlighter in honor of Pride Month. As is generally the case with Milk Makeup highlighter sticks, this one comes with a neutral base, so it works on all skin tones. Apply the stick to your eyes, cheeks, lips, clavicle, etc. — any patch of skin that could use a little shimmer. The more layers of ultra-fine, multi-color glitter you dab on, the more you shine. Bonus: The formula’s infused with mango butter, coconut oil and avocado oil, so it hydrates as it glams.

Like most Pride-related products, this one has a charitable mission. Half of the proceeds from sales of the Glitter Stick will be directly donated to The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center) in New York City. The Center provides the New York’s LGBTQ community with health, wellness and outreach programs.

“Milk Makeup has set out to make beauty more inclusive since day one,” said Milk Makeup co-founder Georgie Greville in an accompanying press release. “Pride is a beautiful celebration of the power of self-actualization. When you express who you are completely, you shine the brightest and we are here to give you the tools to do just that.”

“For me personally, it’s finally an opportunity to give back to The Center in a more meaningful way,” added Rassi. “To celebrate, but, more importantly, educate and expose our community to what The Center stands for.”
