Haze Glazing Is the Easy Way to Get Lit Locks This Summer

If you’re a sucker for a copper balayage and dusky red tones, meet your new BFF. Conceptualized by Wella Professionals color trend expert Zoë Irwin, haze glazing is a coloring technique that makes use of warm, rusty color palettes to give your dark hair a sunny lift.

The goal of haze glazing is to produce an illuminating, sunset-like auburn tone by using various shades of red, like Maple Mustard, Bitter Clove and Sunworn Terracotta. Basically, the exact opposite of spring’s icy pastels.

It adds a “wash of warmth” to your hair for an overall spiciness. If you have pre-lightened locks or babylights, haze glazing is ideal. Need some inspo? Check out the slideshow above before booking an appointment with your colorist.
